The Ford Super Duty is a series of trucks that debuted in 1998 for the 1999 model year as heavy-duty pickup trucks to join the Ford F-Series truck lineup—which at that time included only light- and medium-duty pickup truck models. This popular series of full-size, heavy-duty pickup trucks is currently in its 5th generation, which began for the 2017 model year. The Ford Super Duty lineup was majorly redesigned for the debut of its 5th generation and received a significant update in 2019—which included the introduction of a brand-new powertrain, a redesigned interior and exterior, and new high-tech infotainment and safety features. But what’s new for the 2021 Ford Super Duty in Morris?

For the 2021 model year, the Ford Super Duty lineup remains largely the same as it was in 2020—which is unsurprising considering the major redesign these F-Series trucks underwent for the 2019 model year. The current F-Series Super Duty collection includes the F-250, the F-350, and the F-450 models.

Even though most of its features remain the same, the Ford Super Duty lineup did undergo some minor changes for the 2021 model year. Keep reading to learn more about some features of the Ford Super Duty pickup truck that are new, updated, or upgraded for the 2021 model year.

About the 2021 Ford Super Duty Pickup Trucks

For the 2021 model year, the Ford Super Duty trucks are available in six different trim levels—the Super Duty XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited—which are the same trim levels that were available in 2020.

The 2021 Ford Super Duty pickup trucks did undergo some minor exterior and interior changes in time for their debut on the auto market for the 2021 model year.

One exterior change is that Ford no longer includes front license plate brackets on any of their heavy-duty pickup trucks—except in U.S. states that specifically require front license plates.

Exterior paint options also changed slightly for the Ford Super Duty lineup for the 2021 model year. Three exterior paint color options—Blue Jean, Magnetic, and Silver—were

eliminated from the Ford Super Duty lineup for 2021. However, three brand-new and exciting exterior paint color options were added to replace them. These new colors include Antimatter Blue Metallic, Carbonized Gray metallic, and Lithium Gray Metallic—which are virtually enhanced versions of the exterior paint options Ford eliminated for 2021.

The cabin of the 2021 Ford Super Duty XL trim level no longer features center armrest storage. Available all-weather floor mats for the Super Duty lineup are also rubberized only as of 2021—they were carpeted for previous model years.

The powertrain options, infotainment system, and advanced safety and driver-assist features that are available for the heavy-duty pickup truck models included within the Ford Super Duty lineup also remain virtually the same as they were for the 2020 model year.
