Keep reading to learn more about what the 2021 Ford Bronco has to offer in terms of off-roading technology in order to accommodate any adventure over virtually any terrain.

Off-Road-Ready Build

Both the exterior and interior of the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport model are designed for off-roading. The exterior of the Bronco Sport comes standard with a safari-style roof and is available with steel metal bash plates and special tires that are designed for off-roading.

The interior of this sporty compact SUV offers a best-in-class cargo volume of 65.2 cubic feet, which gives you enough space to take virtually anything and everything you need with you on any off-roading adventure. The 2021 Bronco Sport’s cabin is also available with an easy-to-clean cloth interior and rubberized cargo floor.

Standard 4×4

Four-wheel drive comes standard for all 2021 Ford Bronco Sport models. This standard 4×4 simultaneously applies torque to all four wheels of the Bronco Sport while you’re driving.

This simultaneous torque application to all four wheels of the Bronco Sport minimizes wheel slip and maximizes traction to help this compact SUV traverse tough terrains with ease.

H.O.S.S. Suspension

All 2021 Ford Bronco Sport models also come equipped with a High-Performance, Off-Road, Stability, Suspension system (H.O.S.S.).

This special suspension system features specially-tuned front struts with hydraulic rebound stops and 46-mm monotube rear shocks. These features help improve the responsiveness of the Bronco Sport and ensure a quieter and smoother ride over more rugged terrains for both passengers and drivers alike.

G.O.A.T. Modes

Every 2021 Ford Bronco Sport model comes equipped with a Terrain Management System that features up to 7 Goes Over Any Type of Terrain (G.O.A.T.) drive modes. The G.O.A.T. feature allows Bronco Sport drivers to adjust their vehicle’s drive mode with a simple twist of a dial-in order to best accommodate the type of terrain over which they’re traveling.

5 G.O.A.T. modes come standard on every Bronco Sport model. These drive modes are Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco, and Normal. Two additional drive modes—Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl—are available on certain Bronco Sport models.

Adjusting the drive mode of the Bronco Sport adjusts the throttle response, steering feel, braking calibrations, and transmission shift points of this compact SUV. The Normal mode is designed for everyday driving on city streets. The Eco mode maximizes fuel efficiency to help Bronco Sport drivers save on fuel costs and minimize their carbon footprint, and the Sport mode improves acceleration and steering precision for highway driving. The sand mode is designed to accommodate terrains that involve deep snow or sand, and Slippery mode optimizes gear shifting in low-traction environments.

As for the two additional G.O.A.T. drive modes that are available on certain Bronco Sport models, the Mud/Ruts mode engages 4×4 lock to accommodate muddy terrains and terrains with deep ruts and the Rock Crawl mode adjusts the throttle and transmission response of the Bronco Sport in order to maximize torque in the low range and improve this compact SUV’s crawling ability at low speeds.
